(Announcements for Dec. 6 follows)

Messenger newsletters are available today. Please take yours.

E-mail list update  In an effort to cut our cost and better improve our communication we are trying to put together an Email list for the congregation. This list would only be used for church related business and would not be shared with anyone else. Please email me and I will include you on the list. If you do not have email we will try to find other ways to communicate with you. If you do not want your name on an email list please let me know that also. Please Email me at rokser@charter.net.  Thanks Jack Rokser

Caring Ministry Revisited  For many years the Caring Ministry team visited members of our congregation who were not able to physically attend service or church sponsored events. During the Vision planning session it was decided that services to home bound members could be improved. The Vision team members have decided that they would like to reinvent the Caring Ministry Team and provide more services. Once a month starting in December communion will be brought to any member that is home bound. In order for this to happen we need to identify those congregational members that would be willing to do a home visit after service a few times a year. Congregational members that are willing to help out must attend a one-hour meeting on December 1st at 7:30 pm for training. If you are one of those member that would like to help out please contact Jack or Karen Rokser at 723-7904 or Email  rokser@charter.net

If you belong to a group that would like to be included on the survey, please contact Chris Stein and we can make sure that your activity is included. An example would be the worship team would like to get a list of all those in the congregation that would like to be an usher. Chris can be reached at acstien@charter.net. Thanks! Announcements for, December 6, 2009

Pancake Feed today  Can you smell the sausage yet?  Yes, indeed the Men of English will be serving pancakes and sausage and giving the proceeds to the benevolences of ELCB.  Please stay and enjoy fellowship and food.

The Page Turners Will be meeting on December 14th (revised date) at the home of Marge Bunce. The featured book is The Shack by Wm. P. Young.

A grieving father receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him to meet in the Oregon wilderness where his daughter has been abducted and murdered. In a world where religion seems to grow increasingly irrelevant, "The Shack" wrestles with the timeless question, "Where is God in a world so filled with unspeakable pain?"

Food Pantry Sunday:  December 13, 2009

The Sunday school children are again volunteering to push the food cart down the aisle on Sunday, December 13.  Our local food pantries rely on your generous donations to meet the increased demands for their services this time of year.  Please consider making a non-perishable food or toiletry product donation.

“I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” — Matthew 25:35
