HEIFER PROJECT for MALAWI
The Sunday School
children will begin our Annual Heifer Project Penny Drive, for our friends in Malawi. The children will count the money, vote on animals, and track the progress
toward their goal.
Last year, we raised a total of $800, purchasing
1 Heifer, 1 Pig, 1 Trio
of Rabbits, 2 Honeybees, 2 Flocks of Chicks and 1 Flock of Duck/Geese! Wow! It
is an awesome show of the love and support, ELCB continues to show for our brothers and sisters in Malawi.
We invite the Congregation to join in with the Sunday School children tracking the
progress over the next month.

Malawians are proud of their nation’s reputation as the "warm heart of Africa."
The people are kind, courteous, and hospitable. They also describe themselves as friendly and trusting. Many Malawians, especially
young people, are optimistic about building a democratic and progressive nation. Many older people remain unsure of democracy
and would prefer a stronger leader.
